Fall is in the air with all the promise of good times to come....cool, crisp weather, warm, crackling fires, holidays, celebrating with friends and family, and.... MUSIC!
Take a look at all the exciting events, past and future, the Kern River chorus has been up to.
We especially invite you to our Christmas Spectacular "Sing We Noel" in collaberation with the Kern Valley Community Orchestra coming up December 7th, 2024!
And in this season of Thanksgiving, Kern River Chorus, as always, is thankful for you, our supporters and friends, for all your continued encouragement and attendance of our shows.
We are thankful for our expanding membership lately with the addition of several new voices to the chorus!
Remember if you like to sing, come out any Tuesday evening at 6:30 to the Lake Isabella Veteran's and Senior Center - We would love to meet you!

Happy February to all our Friends, Family, Fans and Supporters!
We hope your New Year has gotten off to a great start! Ours certainly has!
There are some exciting things going on here in the Kern River Chorus.
- We are learning new music
- Preparing for serving up some yummy BBQ pulled pork sandwiches for Whiskey Flat Days
- Singing and walking at the Heartwalk
- Getting ready to host a valley-wide talent show/singing contest called Kern Valley Sings! Talent Show. Cash prizes up to $500! Register now!
- Practicing for a Spring Concert

The holidays are HERE! The Kern River Chorus is excited to sing at many local events this winter and we hope that many of you will be around to welcome the Christmas season with us!
The Kernville Candlestroll has already happened and the chorus was pleased to see so many of our friends and neighbors there! The group caroling was fun and the park is magnificent with the Star Wars Christmas theme!
We have some other events coming up and hope to see you there!
If you would like to try singing with us and developing your voice, we would love to have you join us for regular rehearsals next year, January 9th, at the Senior Center in Lake Isabella. Singing is a healthy habit to have and can be practiced for a lifetime! And it's a lot of fun!
We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Welcome to Autumn!
We all love the change of seasons and it's no different for us here at Kern River Chorus.
As you begin this new season, we would like to remind you that we are here and ready to help you on your singing adventure! You can get FREE singing lessons, do something healthy for your body, breathing, and mental health.
We are accepting men, women, and children into the chorus. Come on out any Tuesday evening at 6:30 at the Senior Center.

It's been a while since we've sent out a newsletter and we hope that you caught some big fish in that giant, overflowing lake called Lake Isabella this summer season!
Now school is back in session, and Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas will be here before you know it!
Kern River Chorus is back at it as well! There are some fun events coming up soon that we want you to know about.
The event coming up most quickly is our Saturday Summer Singing Vibes - One Day Retreat on September 23
And COMING SOON - a big show October 21. Look for details on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Just a quick December greeting from the Kern River Chorus!
We had such a fun season celebrating the holidays with so many of our friends in the Kern River Valley. Please enjoy the pictures from some of the events we sang at and participated in. Thank you for your support this year - our first year as an official 501c3 community chorus! Special thanks to all our business and individual sponsors! And to our audience members - you are the reason we sing!
We are looking forward to next year and new music! If you are interested in singing with us, please join us as we start rehearsing again on January 17th at the Senior/Veteran's Center in Lake Isabella. Our audience can look forward to our spring show ! Look for advertising on Kern River Radio, Kern Valley Sun and our Facebook page.

The holiday season is upon us! A warm Christmas greeting to you and yours from the Kern River Chorus!
We have many upcoming singing events and we hope that you will be able to #catchthemusic with us at one of them!
Re-live the Lake Isabella Christmas parade especially if you weren't able to attend in person.
We have our KRC merchandise for sale on our website. Our Christmas CD, coffee mugs, baseball caps and cookbooks make great gifts or stocking stuffers! Easy ordering right on our website.

It's already August, the summer is almost over and it's time for an update on the happenings of the Kern River Chorus!
We hope you had a chance to come see us at our debut show in June, our Charter Party featuring the Beatles! It was a blast and we enjoyed seeing all of your smiling faces.
Now that fall is here we are learning new music, preparing for Veteran's Day and Christmas! We're baiting the hook and hope you are ready when we throw you a line!

A hearty welcome to the first edition of the Catch the Music! Newsletter - digital greetings to the supporters of the Kern River Chorus and exciting updates on the activities of the newest co-ed community chorus in the Kern River Valley of the Lake Isabella, Ca area.
Many of you might be familiar with the "Kern Valley Chorus" or "Sweet Adelines", and may be a little confused about what this new "Kern River Chorus" is all about. Sounds a little fishy!
Let's unentangle you so you can stop floundering and get caught up to date!
Kern Valley Chorus is now the new ......Kern River Chorus! We offer opportunities for men AND women, boys AND girls to join us for a boatload of fun, friendships, singing, performing and training in vocal excellence.
If you are a singer, we want to hook you up! We've baited our lines with schools of music notes at every rehearsal!
If you are a music lover, but not a singer, look inside this newsletter for the latest announcements regarding our upcoming performances.
